Raktamokshan is the name given to the procedure of Panchakarma responsible for bloodletting.It releases excess Pitta via the blood.Raktamokshan is an effective blood purification therapy in which the carefully controlled removal of small quantities of blood is removed to release the accumulated Pitta toxins responsible for blood related diseases. Raktamokshan decreases the quantity of excess Pitta thus relieving the diseases caused by Pitta.
