Why Ayurveda?
There are a staggering 16 million annual premature deaths worldwide and the World Health Organization (WHO) attributes 70% of the cause to lifestyle factors – unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, and consumption of alcohol and tobacco. The WHO has stated we need to make “prevention and control of these diseases a major development imperative for the 21st century” and “urgent action” is needed to reduce the number of deaths.
And in the United Nations Sustainability and Development Goals, Goal #12 states "By 2030, ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with Nature.
We couldn't agree more with the United Nations Goal #12, as we believe the only way to resolve critical global health issues is to empower people to take responsibility for their own health through the use of Ayurveda - it is a scientific system of medicine with prevention at the core of its practice. It addresses root causes not just symptoms, and so it helps you make the shift from mere symptom suppression to long-term wellness.
It is well proven over a period of 5000 years and is accepted as primary health care in India and other countries. It focuses on you, your unique body type (Prakruti), your lifestyle, and how to create your optimal health through simple practices, safe and all-natural remedies (no side effects) when under the guidance of a qualified Ayurveda practitioner.
