Vaman - Induced Medicated Emesis

Vaman - Induced Medicated Emesis
Vamana is an induced medicated emesis. The literal meaning of Vamana is expelling dosha  toxins orally. This is especially designed to balance the vitiated Kapha dosha. The procedure is carried out early in the morning when the Kapha dosha is dominant. Vitiated doshas and accumulated toxins are expelled through methodically inducing emesis. The patient needs to be relaxed, calm and devoid of mental stress throughout the therapy. After emesis therapy, the patient is gradually rehabilitated to a regular diet and lifestyle.

A special combination of herbs is designed according to the Prakruti (body type), disease state and strength of the patient. These herbs help to expel vitiated Dosha toxins through vomiting. An Ayurvedic doctor / Therapist assists the patient and carefully monitors the procedure to avoid unwanted complications.
